speech day!
heyx! speech day was a BLAST!!
the day started well... after much practices in the music room evrything was goin great. some seniors came like emma, alfri and kai li. after that we ate dinner, practice again and went down to get ready.. while we were ready with the other contingents, it started drizziling... then raining... then raining heavily... my heart began to dampened slowly... tears almost got to my eyes as evryone walked to the stand by area for wet weather program.. bt after fey steps i took.. the weather began shine! and i was feeling BETTER! "thank God!" i told e band that the weather changes is not for nothing... i told them that we would do a favour for everyone and our seniours, and do wat we're suppose to do, which is to OWN the parade!
before we marched in, justin "1 of my snare drummers" began to panic as the marker wher he should stop is not there anymore but we cant do anthing, so he had a difficult time to gauge wher he's suppose to stop. Ya.. tht's the only cock up bahx.. anw, (skipping all the long winded part) wen we're suppose to march out, i spin the mace well and everything well.. as we bow as a band, all the seniors that din came for rehearsals were SURPRISED and evryone started roaring and cheered (but of cause with the help of our seniors to start the crowd) hahas! as i did the throw, nothing was in my mind, straight away instincts took over my head and told me to catch the mace like i always did..which i did!! when the parade ended. i felt so so accomplished! evrything that is done to prepare for it had been "GLORIFIED" lolx!
then, it was reception.. we really played well.. "not lying" we sure played well, better than practices. my favourite was alvamar! woohoo! "FAST FORWARD" we took pix N evrthing.. got many gifts from juniors.. "thx!" i was so so happy but yet so so sad that im going to leave this music family already.. as i walked home in the darkness of the night... my 4 years in band flashes pass in my head.. time really flies so fast.. but i thank God to give me the oppurtinity to lead this wonderful but sometime attitude group of people. =)
